We are all very saddened to hear of the passing of solicitor, author and poet Ms Vicky McCarthy Keane. Vicky availed of our design and publishing services for her poetry collection, Through My Eyes. Poetry became an outlet for Vicky after she was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2017, and she wrote her richly allegorical and highly personal collection through the use of eye gaze technology. The “moving and soothing” poems detail love, life and her battle with the disease, and are infused throughout with a “wistful gratitude only someone in her condition can know and still share with the reader”
Vicky’s unique collection, one of the few poetry collections written with the aid of such technology, is available through all major online retailers, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble and more. It can also be ordered from your local independent bookstore or library, through Gardners book wholesalers- just give your bookstore assistant the title and author’s name.
