An editor’s report is a comprehensive appraisal of your manuscript. For fiction, we provide detailed feedback and suggestions on all aspects of the story, including plot development, character development, dialogue, writing style and more. For non-fiction manuscripts, areas covered include writing style, clarity, sources, balance, target readership and more.
Every manuscript is different, and every report covers aspects unique to the book being reviewed. The process is constructive and professional. The editor’s role is to identify both what is working and what is not, and help the author make the necessary changes.
Extras
Unlike other editing services, we provide additional feedback on the manuscript. Authors also receive a follow-up consultation, where we can discuss the issues face-to-face. This is what distinguishes our editor’s report from the standard ‘reader’s report’. For testimonials from authors who have availed of our reports see the testimonials page.
Fees
We charge between €9 and €12 per 1,000 words for the full Editor’s Report. The size of the MS impacts the price. Shorter manuscripts are charged at a higher per 1k words than larger manuscripts. This price includes additional feedback on the manuscript (notes in the margins) and the complimentary one-on-one consultation.

Missed Opportunities
Author: Matthew Flavin
84 pages
ISBN: 978-1739218751
Size: 156 x 234 mm
Both viscerally honest and freshly lyrical, his debut collection provides a profound if wry insight into themes such as nature, love & exile. While Flavin’s lyrical descriptions of sea, home and nature signal to both Patrick Kavanagh and the romantics, his wistful poems reveal a surprisingly postmodern sensibility and intelligence.
The Quest for Meaning: A Journey Through Philosophy, Science-
Author: Gearoid O’Donnchadha
244 pages
ISBN: 978-1786051691
Size: 127 x 223mm
A Quest for Meaning, the final book by the late scholar Fr Gearóid O’Donnchadha, tackles the sense of meaninglessness so many in the modern world are afflicted with. Taking readers on an intellectual tour de force through quantum theory, phenomenology, developments in sociology, Eastern mathematics, and the history of the Christian faith, Fr O’Donnchadha’s message is that faith and hope are still possible, despite the horrors of recent centuries.
