JM Agency team members Jeremy, Joanne and Kezia were delighted to attend the launch of author and JM Agency client Lorraine O’Byrne’s final novel I Will Find You, which was launched in the beautiful Killaloe Hotel.
Special thanks to bestselling and prize-winning author Donal Ryan for kindly agreeing to launch Lorraine’s book. Donal was Lorraine’s tutor while she studied for an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Limerick. In his speech, he observed how the seeds of Lorraine’s final novel were evident in her master’s thesis, and how his role was more to guide and direct her than to teach, he being impressed with her maturity as a writer.
‘I Will Find You’ was very much a team effort, with JM Agency team members Jeremy, Amanda, Parvathi and Joanne all working collectively to ensure Lorraine’s last book was published to exceptional standards. In his short few words, Jeremy complimented Amanda and Joanne for editing Lorraine’s manuscript so superbly, and Lorraine for creating a realistic story, peopled with plausible characters, that had an intriguing supernatural element. He also praised JM Agency designer Parvathi for creating a cover that captured the essence of ‘I Will Find You’.
Special mention also to Lorraine’s family, including her husband Donal and sister Síle, and her literary colleagues in her writing group, who did everything to ensure Lorraine’s final book was brought to life, a novel that fittingly blends all her various interests and sources of inspiration, including the plight of women in a patriarchal system, and how the supernatural pervades everyday life.
